Here's How We Got Started
It Began With a Prayer
During the uncertainty of the global lockdowns, Founder Lukalu Sifa Tshiswaka realised the importance of building something beyond a single source of income. Guided by faith and years of corporate procurement experience, she identified an opportunity to help businesses solve operational and procurement challenges strategically.
The First Breakthrough
Femme Bantu Consulting secured its first consulting contract and successfully helped improve a client’s procurement performance, pricing strategy, forecasting, and supplier management. The success of this project confirmed the value of practical, results-driven consulting and officially launched the business.
A Bold New Chapter
In November 2023, Sifa resigned from her nine-year corporate career to focus on FBC full-time. Shortly after, the company opened its first office in Dainfern, Johannesburg, and began supporting businesses through strategic advisory, business planning, and growth-focused consulting services.
Expansion Into New Markets
FBC reached a major milestone with its first investment and the launch of its Democratic Republic of Congo branch. This expansion strengthened the firm’s ability to support businesses entering the DRC market through advisory, procurement, market research, and business development services.
Regional Growth & Bigger Mandates
In 2025, FBC secured major consulting assignments, including feasibility studies and financial modelling projects in the oil and gas sector. The firm also advised on a high-level agricultural commercialisation project connected to Liberia, reinforcing its growing reputation as a trusted African advisory partner.
